The first time you said, “I love you”
Time stood still
‘Til I could inhale your words
Slowly penetrating the walls to my soul
I grasped for air as I took your words in
Trembling from the intensity of your stare
Your eyes would not leave me
I did not want your eyes to leave me
I wanted your words to go deep inside my soul
I did not want the moment to end
The first time you said, “I love you”
I grabbed your hand
I had to touch you
I had to know this was real
There’s only one first time
I want this moment to last a lifetime

Silence
Stare
Tremble
Touch
Intensity
Passion
Exhale
I can’t get enough of your love….
